POLICE have launched a murder inquiry after a man was stabbed in a pub in New Southgate.
The man, believed to be white and in his 20s, was injured in a knife attack at 6.30pm on Sunday at the Northern Star in High Road.
An ambulance was called and the man was taken to Barnet General Hospital. He was pronounced dead nearly eight hours later, at 2.20am on Monday.
A post-mortem took place on Monday, at Finchley Mortuary and there will be an inquest at Hornsey Coroners Court, starting on Thursday, when the man will be formally identified.
