I cannot believe that Harrow Council has declined to take part in Ken Livingstone's clean-up campaign ( 'Street cleaning policy trashed' Times, March 7).
The state of the streets and parks, in fact all public spaces in our borough is a disgrace.
We often hear that Harrow is the home for some of the wealthiest people in London, well it is also the home for some of the most ill-mannered. I have lost count of the times I have seen people throwing rubbish on the floor.
Litter and filth give an area a bad reputation that is difficult to shed. So come on, let's clean up.
