BRUNEL university scientist Asha Pete Thompson was shortlisted for the British Female Inventor of the Year Award after creating a fabric that can tell if you are touching it.
Asha, from the Design For Life Centre, worked with Dr Stan Swallow to produce the fabric which is sensitive to pressure, yet acts, feels and costs the same as an ordinary fabric.
