POLICE are again asking News Shopper readers for help in identifying yobs who wreck public transport in the area.

Following the success of our Shop A Yob campaign in recent weeks, the Metropolitan Police's Seneca team and Transport for London have backed our campaign to stop vandalism and intimidation in public places.

Now they are asking News Shopper readers to identify a pair of youths who wrecked the CCTV cameras which were installed on a bus as a deterrent to vandals.

Police constable Peter Rumrey of Operation Seneca stated it was essential for readers to call him if they recognised either of the vandals pictured in your News Shopper this week.

He said: "This pair caused hundreds of pounds worth of damage to the cameras on the bus, and by doing so made travel more dangerous for those who use the service.

If anyone recognises either of them, we want to know."

The youths were travelling on the 261 Metrobus service between Lewisham and Bromley and the vandalism began as the bus was travelling through Grove Park on January 23.

If you know who either of this week's yobs are, call the Seneca team between Monday and Friday on 020 8284 5004.
