TALENTED performers from throughout south east London joined forces to celebrate the Beckenham Festival's 80-year history.
An audience of hundreds saw a selection of winners from last year's event perform in a gala concert at Kelsey Park school, Manor Way.
More than 3,000 people entered the music, dance and drama sections of the 2001 festival but only 22 of the best performed at this year's gala.
Committee secretary Terri Stredder said: "The concert went without a hitch and it was nice to see such a packed hall.
"The audience seemed to enjoy themselves, and many of the acts received standing ovations."
