Uxbridge RFC 0

UCS Old Boys 8 (Feb 9)

UXBRIDGE visited north London this weekend to replay last week's league game cancelled due to the weather conditions.

The UCS pitch had recovered well in places with the top half of the pitch, due to the slope, good for running with the ball. But the lower half of the pitch however was bog like.

The game started off well for Uxbridge as they kicked down the slight slope. Good preparation for the game gave the Uxbridge side the added focus they needed to really start as they meant to go on.

Surprisingly UCS then scored the first try failing to convert.

The biggest weakness for Uxbridge was their poor lineouts, communication and a pack that had done little training together which meant a lot of possession and advantage was lost.

Playing against the slope in the second half, Uxbridge had their turn in the bogged down area of the pitch and this gave them few chances for them to run the ball out of their half. The game ending 8-0 to UCS.
