YOU do not have to stop playing tennis in the winter! Naphill Tennis Club hold club mornings throughout the year on Sundays and Tuesdays. New members are always welcome. A REMINDER that the Speen Festival begins today and lasts all week, as reported in detail last week in this column.

NAPHILL Neighbours' next meeting will be on Monday, September 10, when Jean Archer will talk on 'Hidden Bucks'.

THERE will be a harvest festival service on Sunday, September 16 at Naphill Village Hall at 4pm.

ON Friday, September 21 the Over 60s Club will hear Miss J Hall talk about 'Disappearing Wild Flowers of Bucks'.

THE next Hughenden Parish Council Meeting will be on Thursday, September 27 at the Parish Council Offices at 8pm, and if anyone has planning concerns, they may attend. There may be a Revitalisation Grant in the pipeline to help schemes to do with, for example, transport. Jane Elmidoro on 01844 275478 is the person to contact with possible ideas for Naphill.

THE village hall table top sale will be on Saturday, October 13, between 2pm and 4pm. Tables cost £7 and can be booked on 01494 563479.
