TIM WEBB of Bishop's Stortford Running Club raced in the Brentwood half-marathon last weekend and beat his previous personal best time by around four minutes.
In cold conditions on an undulating 13.1-mile course, Webb clocked an impressive time of 1hr 23 min.
The club has organised coaches to travel to London on April 22 for the Flora London Marathon. To book a place or for further further information, call Peter Amos on 01279 652795.
The club is keen to recruit more members and men and women of all ages are welcome. It meets on Wednesdays at 7.30pm and Sundays at 9.30am in the Hockerill Sports and Social Club clubhouse in Beldams Lane. Anyone interested can contact Chris Tate on 01279 503121.
