YOUNG members of Harlow Athletic Club were at the second of the indoor Grand Prix series of 60m sprints.
Calvin Barnes, 12, was in sparkling form in the under-13 boys event, improving his personal best to 8.9sec to end the day in pole position.
In the under-15 boys, James Campbell gained a first, a second and a third place in his three races.
Newham & Essex Beagle Jamie Parsons came fifth in the Benfleet 15-mile race in 1hr 35min.
