Friends and family will gather to pay tribute to a popular president of Radlett Cricket Club at a memorial service in London next Thursday.
David Taylor, who had been president of the Cobden Hill club for 15 years, died on September 27, at the age of 66.
Mr Taylor, who was known as Fred, was a founder member of the Hertfordshire League and well known to many cricketers in the county.
He was a fine batsman for Radlett Cricket Club, despite suffering a permanent limp.
Mr Taylor captained the club for six years and made his last century against St Albans at Clarence Park in 1970.
In 1974 he launched the Hertfordshire League, and Radlett Cricket Club went on to win the championship five times under his presidency.
Mike Dexter, a long-term Radlett player, said: "Fred will be sorely missed. We have reached the end of an era an era which has been the most successful in the club's history."
The memorial service will be held at St Marleybone Church, on Marleybone Road, on Thursday, November 15, at 2.30pm.
