The Borehamwood Saracens skater hockey squad trounced the Enforcers 11-2 in a youth division match at the weekend.

From the start, the Saracens took control of the game with some good flowing moves and it was not long before Theo Jones netted, assisted by Jaydean George.

After conceding, the Enforcers tightened their defence, but it was unlocked by Saracens' agile Alex Barton.

He was joined on the scoresheet by Tom Dickinson. The Saracens' final goal of the first period was delivered by Sam Scrivener.

Though the Enforcers pulled a goal back late on thanks to a breakdown in the Saracens' rearguard.

The start of the second period saw Saracens' Chris Dartnell score with a slapshot from the halfway line. Moments later, Scrivener fired in from close range.

Theo Jones notched his second goal of the day after receiving a ball from Harry Hammon.

Two quick strikes from Nick Avery and Craig Bishop killed off any hopes of an Enforcers recovery. The period ended with the Saracens extending their tally through a one-two move between Scrivener and Dickinson

After the break, the Enforcers came out all guns blazing and removed Theo Jones from the game by crushing him against a wall. Then Chris Dartnell was consigned to the sin bin for squaring up to the offending Enforcers player.

Short staffed, the Saracens had to go on the offensive and this tactic produced their final goal through Craig Bishop. The Enforcers managed to net their second goal thanks to a mix-up in the Saracens' defences.

* The Borehamwood Crusaders lost 6-4 to the Tour Street Warriors in an Eastern Skater Hockey Association senior league showdown at the weekend.

Both sides play a fast, physical game but the opening period was shaded by the Warriors who netted three times. A powerplay enabled the Crusaders to return fire in the closing minutes through Steve Dickinson.

The second period saw players from both sides being sent to the sin bin when hard tackling replaced attacking play.

When the game did return to normality, the Warriors struck first with two goals in as many minutes.

The final period opened with Darren Smith firing a slapshot in to the Warriors' net.

Then Neil McMahon scored from close range.

McMahon's goal was followed by a second strike from Smith.

Crusaders' keeper Dan Kasler was on form, stopping everything that was thrown at him. However, his luck ran out when the Warriors scored from a face-off midway through the final period.

*Borehamwood's Saints lost 11-3 to the Bulldogs at the weekend.

The Saints started the game in sterling form, with the first goal of the game scored by Danny Southwell.

The Bulldogs struck back to score three goals on the trot. Just before the end of the first period, Saints' Jack Malin reduced the deficit, but a fourth Bulldogs strike took the sheen off Malin's effort.

The second and third period saw the Bulldogs continue to fire in the goals to seal the Saints' fate.

But Bradley Reffold was on hand to whip in a late goal for the Saints, bringing their final tally to three.
