Hertfordshire's short carpet bowls squad was thrashed 28-8 by formidable Suffolk at a county match in Ipswich last Sunday.
As Herts skipper Peter Phillips said: "The sheer quality of their bowling was just too good for us. You have to be keen to drive nearly 200 miles round trip, and get a stuffing like that."
