A Radlett nursery school has won an appeal against a borough council decision that an Aldenham tea room should not be turned into a day nursery. Rexton House Nursery School, in Scrubbits Park Road, had a planning application to use the tea room in Church Lane for childcare turned down by Hertsmere Borough Council. But, after the appeal hearing, a Government planning inspector decided that the council was not justified in rejecting the plan because it felt the tea room was important to the vitality of the village.
