The weather continued to affect football in and around Borehamwood at the weekend.
Elliott Star's game at Bovingdon was called off due to a waterlogged pitch and Star's match against Metropolitan Police Bushey on December 30 was cancelled due to a frozen pitch.
Meanwhile, Pinnacle Youth FC's Middlesex Cup ties for their U11, U13 and U14 squads were called off due to pitch unavailability.
Borehamwood Youth's fixture with East Barnet Old Grammarterians had to be cancelled due to a waterlogged pitch. It was the same story for the Director's Arms League Cup fixture against Centurions and Spectrum FC's Barnet Junior Cup second round tie with Roving Reporters.
However, Borehamwood Royals were able to play and trounced Chorleywood 9-0 in a Challenge Cup first round clash.
The Royals' goals came from on-fire Jimmy Simpson (6), a brace from Ryan Fraser and a solo strike by newcomer Loui Hassan.
