Barnet have today completed the signing of striker Roy Essandoh on a short term deal after he impressed during a recent spell in training.

The former Wycombe Wanderers player, famed for his dramatic winning goal in last season's FA Cup Quarter Final tie against Leicester City, was released by the Buckinghamshire club during the summer.

Essandoh will be involved in tonight's league game against Yeovil and if he impresses could earn himself a long term deal. One striker who will not be involved is striker Ben Strevens who was carried off in Saturday's win against Margate. Strevens is believed to have injured the same ankle which was giving him problems the previous week and the club expect him to be out of action for at least two weeks.

Meanwhile, Stuart Niven could be heading in the opposite direction to Essandoh after it was revealed he is having a three day trial with Division Three outfit Carlisle United.
