A TELEVISION crew visited Bromley to make a film to help recruit volunteers for a charity which helps house-bound pensioners fight loneliness.
The short film about the charity called Contact will be broadcast this summer as part of the City Survival Guide programme, to be shown on ITV in London and the south-east.
The Carlton crew filmed a Contact tea party at the home of Contact London development officer Linda Roberts, in Sundridge Park, Bromley, with seven elderly guests who had been collected from their homes by four volunteer drivers.
She said: “I hope the film will help to boost volunteer recruitment. Our Bromley groups are desperately in need of more drivers to keep them going.
Call Linda Roberts on 020 8464 7994 or Freephone 0800 716543 for more information or to volunteer.
