A 57-YEAR-OLD man has been fined more than £300 for careless driving while uninsured.
Michael Barnard, of Thistle Road, Gravesend, admitted running into the back of another car in June while queueing to get onto the A2 near Bluewater.
He told the other driver at the time he was covered but later found out he had forgotten to renew his policy.
Prosecuting at Dartford Magistrates' Court, Colin Shackel said: “The queue of traffic was stopping and starting and he admitted not concentrating. The other driver recieved injuries to his neck and lower back.”
Barnard received two £160 fines for careless driving and driving without insurance. He was also given 9 penalty points and ordered to pay £35 costs.
