DRINKERS in Bexleyheath can now boast they drink in the best pub in London after the Robin Hood and Little John won the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) award for the London Pub of the Year.

Landlord Ray Johnson was presented with his award by Greater London CAMRA regional director, Robin Forshaw-Wilson. Drinkers raised a glass to Ray who has run the Lion Road pub for 21 years.

After beating several watering-holes in the Greater London area, Ray now has to wait until the end of January to find out if the pub will go forward into the national finals where it stands a chance of winning the title of Best Pub in Britain.

l The News Shoppers own PubSpy also recently voted the Robin Hood and Little John his Pub of the Year after visiting dozens of watering-holes around the News Shopper circulation area.
