CHILDREN at a Greenwich school were given the chance to question council staff about the redevelopment of a demolished housing estate.
The New Haddo Estate will be knocked down over the coming months and the youngsters of James Wolfe School, in Randall Place, were asked how they thought the site should be regenerated.
Councillor Angela Cornforth, executive member for urban renewal, explained the children's views were essential to the council's planning process.
She said: “I feel it is important we involve and seek the views of our younger residents as we are, with our partners, aiming to create homes for all ages to come.
“I am impressed with the response from James Wolfe School pupils who obviously think deeply about their environment.”
