A PRE-SCHOOL group searching for space to expand has finally opened a new classroom

Howbury Pre-School was given a Government grant to provide places for more children but could not use it because it could not find anymore room.

Now, thanks to help from Nigel Beard, MP for Bexleyheath and Crayford, the group has been given another room at the Howbury Centre in Slade Green.

The room will provide space to teach an extra 30 pupils.

The new room has lots of educational toys including abacuses, books and scales to name a few.

Mr Beard said: “The children attending here will benefit throughout their school career from the flying start they are receiving.”

Sue Kennedy, who runs the pre-school, said: “I would like to thank everyone who has made this classroom possible, especially my staff and Mr Beard.”
