A SPORTS award has been given to a Gravesend school because of the quality of its physical education and sports programme.
Ifield school, in Cedar Avenue, was one of only 325 schools nationally to be awarded the Sportsmark by Sport England, the leading sports development agency in the country.
Head of physical education Peter Boxhall said: “This is a tremendous achievement for the school. I am delighted that Sport England recognised our achievements in providing a well balanced physical education programme.”
