TOILETS for disabled people in Sevenoaks may become more convenient if the council accepts a new scheme
The proposals, put forward by the Royal Association for Disability and Rehabilitation, aims to cut the cost of more than £36,000 to maintain vandalised conveniences.
It has already been implemented across the country where public lavatories for the disabled are locked and disabled people have a master key to allow them access.
Dartford Councils environmental services committee chairman Councillor Avril Hunter said: We feel this service can be made much more pleasant for disabled residents.
Feedback about the proposal has been positive but we would like to hear the views of more of those affected.
