THE inaugural lecture by Goldmsiths College professor Eve Gregory will look at the ideas of poverty affecting children's learning and exceptions to the rule.
Many Ways of Knowing: Creating Classroom Cultures in London's East End, will be held at 5.30pm on June 5, at Goldsmiths College, New Cross.
Throughout the 20th and into the 21st century, society has been led to believe poverty leads to early literacy and learning difficulties. Professor Gregory has invited successful East End learners to talk about what mattered for them during early years in school. Admission is free. Call 020 7919 7901.
