FORMER Greenwich Mayor Tony Moon has died, aged 71.
The former Labour councillor represented the Vanbrugh ward from 1990-1998, and was mayor between 1995/6.
Present mayor Councillor Jagir Sekhon stated her shock at her predecessor's passing.
She said: βIt is with great sadness that I learned of Tony's death. He was not only an invaluable asset to the council but also a very good friend. He will be a great loss.β
Mr Moon's family have asked for donations to be made to the British Heart Foundation, 14 Fitz Hardinge Street, London, W1 6DH.
