I would like to respond to the letter “Clean it up” referring to dog mess in parks (News Shopper, March 14).
I am a dog owner and always go out armed with bags to clean up after my dog.
If there are no bins around I take it home with me and dispose of it.
If only the human population did the same. I have often had to extract empty cigarette cartons, remains of fast food containers, tin cans and even broken glass from discarded bottles from my dog's mouth. I often see signs referring to dog mess saying “Clean it up or face a fine”.
Can we have some similar notices for humans. Don't keep blaming dogs for messing up our parks when we humans are just as bad. Human litter is just as bad as dog mess.
