CONCERN is growing for a 39-year-old woman missing from her home for three weeks.

Jayne Sweetapple was facing redundancy and had been depressed before her disappearance on March 8.

The single wages clerk was last seen driving off into the night by a neighbour.

Her sister, Lynn Russell, of Floyd Road, Charlton, is leading the family's search with help from police.

She has put up posters around the area with her sister's picture, appealing for information from the public.

They have gone up in Miss Sweetapple's regular haunts, including the Arches Fitness Centre, in Trafalgar Road, Greenwich.

Miss Sweetapple, of Nuxley Road, Upper Belvedere, worked for Solotec, in Bromley, and was to be made redundant at the end of April.

Mrs Russell, who said her sister had been depressed, said: “She just suddenly got up and left her flat. As far as I can see she took nothing with her.

“Nothing has ever happened like this before. It is totally out of character

“You can imagine how everyone is feeling.

“I just don't know where to turn next.

“Nobody has seen or heard from her since she just seems to have driven off into the night.

“In the last month she has been depressed about being made redundant but she has known for 18 months.

“I am sitting here every day for a phone call but it is just not happening.”

Miss Sweetapple left her flat during the early hours in her maroon G-registration Ford Escort.

A police spokesman said: “There is no new information. She has not been sighted and we have tried all sorts of avenues. Concern is growing.”
