MORE than 100 people attended the Swanley District Volunteer Bureau spring community lunch at the Alexandria Suite, in Swanley Civic Centre.
Volunteers heard about extra support Kent police and Sevenoaks District Council provide to improve safety in Swanley and the surrounding area.
Sevenoaks District Council head of community services Merle Bigden urged residents to report incidents of vandalism to the council's community safety co-ordinator even if it was anonymously.
Swanley residents were also urged to come forward and volunteer as Special Constables or as Parish Constables in the surrounding villages.
