KITE experts and budding flyers will have the chance to air their talents at a fund-raising open day in Gravesend.
Ifield School, Cedar Avenue, is holding the event on April 1, in association with The Kite Society.
Representatives from kiting clubs countrywide will give displays in a 15-acre flying field and offer help in construction workshops.
There will be buggy races, competitions, a kite hospital for quick fixes and a 120-foot crane for aerial views.
Organiser Elizabeth Lee said: “We held a similar event three years ago and it was hugely successful. We raised more than £1,500 for the school.”
Entry is 50p and under-fives get in free. There is a £3 charge for construction workshops. All materials are provided. Flights are from 10am to 4pm. Call Ms Lee on 01474 536924.
