ROGUE workmen are bullying elderly residents in North Kent into having work done.
On January 19, an elderly couple from Pepper Hill, in Northfleet, handed over £150 after three workman told them their fence needed to be fixed.
The work only involved a single wooden board being nailed in place to support the fence.
Police are now warning residents to be wary if they feel they are being bullied into having work done.
A North Kent Police spokesman said: We have received reports of elderly people being bullied into having work done. In many cases workmen may be entirely legitimate, but we encourage people to be careful.
