A GREYHOUND lover from Watford who had his four dogs stolen from his home has had three back but one is still missing.

Mr Les Simmons, 75, of Radlett Road, was horrified when he discovered his four beloved animals had been stolen on the night of Wednesday, November 14.

However, by Friday, November 16, Mr Simmons had three of the dogs back again after they were found wandering about near Hitchin.

Mr Simmons said he was delighted to have them back but was still very worried about the fourth one a fawn-coloured,18-month-old bitch.

Mr Simmons said one of the dogs had been very traumatised by the experience and needed treatment, and he was very concerned the fourth bitch had been kept by someone for racing.

He said: "She should be coming into milk soon and if she is raced or put in training at that time, it will do her a lot of harm.

"I keep thinking about her and I just hope, if someone has her, they are looking after her.

"Someone in Watford or nearby areas must have seen her. Please call the police if someone offers her to you or if you see her."
