POLICE were called to deal with a bizarre incident in which a motorist held up traffic in Lower High Street, Watford, by stopping in the middle of the road.
The male driver had driven the wrong way down the one-way traffic section and stopped in front of a bus at about 4.50pm on Saturday.
The motorist remained in his car for about ten minutes as a line of traffic built up and a crowd of onlookers gathered.
When police arrived, officers talked to the motorist for a few minutes before taking him away for questioning, to cheers from the onlookers.
A police officer moved the car to enable traffic to move at about 4pm.
