IT'S not often that politicians agree with each other but MP Cheryl Gillan and her fellow parliamentarians will all be singing from the same hymn sheet next month.
Mrs Gillan, MP for Chesham and Amersham, will be singing her heart out as part of the Parliament Choir, made up entirely of MPs, members of the House of Lords and their staff.
Mrs Gillan, a keen founder member, was elected vice-chairman of the unique 80-strong choir earlier this month. The choir are one of the most active cross-party parliamentary groups.
The concert, which takes place on December 5 at The Methodist Central Hall, Westminster, will be introduced by Classic FM's Henry Kelly and will feature solo performances from bass Michael George and tenor James Gilchrist.
Orchestral support will be provided by La Serenissima one of London's top professional youth orchestra. The choir will perform Bach's Christmas Oratorio.
Mrs Gillan said: "Over 2,000 tickets are available and it would be great to have some of my constituents in the audience."
