SARACENS face a tough time on Sunday, September 23, when they take on Northampton in the Zurich Premiership at the Vicarage Road stadium.

It's the second home game of the season for Saracens, and this fixture typically produces some very watchable rugby.

Both Sarries and the Saints will be without their Scottish Internationals, but a skilful and high-class match is expected.

Following this match, the Saracens and Northampton under-21 sides will do battle at Vicarage Road kicking off at 4.50pm.

The Saracens under-21 team is coached by Bob Crooks, and has an exceptional record.

The calibre of many of these players is reflected by the number of them that already play international rugby and have graduated to the full squad. David Flatman, Tom Shanklin, Ben Johnston, Gerald Arasa, Kieran Roche, Matt Cairns, Luke Harbut, James Parkes, Steve Cheesebrough and Richard Haughton are just some of the players that have made the transition to the senior squad.

Saracens have a well respected youth development policy, and many star names of the future are currently being nurtured. In Sarries' first warm-up game at home to Caerphilly (August 4), 18 year-old James Bailey, was called up from the under-21's to play on the wing.

Not only did he make some impressive tackles, he scored a blistering solo effort try from the half.

With the under-21 squad producing talent at the rate it is, combining with the experience of players like; Abdel Benazzi, Bracken, Hill and Horan, the future looks bright.
