Why does’t the website carry every story from the newspaper?
Internet re-use rights often restrict the stories we can publish in our web edition. We try to ensure these instances are kept to a minimum. Any exclusions are strictly for rights or legal reasons ' not because of any political or reporting bias.

Full newspaper content is available on The Herald Digital, our facsimile edition which is available for free trial, here.

Why don’t you carry more foreign news?
Re-use rights often limit the foreign news agency stories we are permitted to publish on our website.

RSS is a way of grabbing news and information automatically and arranging it on your own site, into your own browser, in My Yahoo, My MSN, or having stories delivered into your e-mail program, or even onto the desktop of your computer.

It's a very simple way of personalising the internet for you, cutting down on searching time and making it easy to stay right up to date.

The Herald offers RSS feeds from a range of news and sports channels, so you can now have the latest headlines as soon as they're published. Updates are automatic, and they're absolutely free!

Getting started is easy. All you have to do is decide which way you want to receive your news updates (whether to a My Yahoo page, straight to your web browser, or to your desktop) and download an appropriate RSS reader. Some browsers, like Firefox and Safari already have an RSS reader built in. Other browsers and e-mail programs will soon have built in readers too.

Google offers a pretty good list of what's currently available.

Don't forget to read our Terms and Conditions before taking our feed.

RSS and audio feeds are also available from our digital facsimile edition. Please visit The Herald Digital for details.

My browser keeps displaying an out-of-date edition. What's wrong?
Most browsers store previously-viewed pages in a memory cache on your own computer. Sometimes this store becomes full or corrupt. Try reloading or refreshing the page. You may have to clear your browser cache and restart your browser application to resolve the problem.

Some internet service providers (ISPs) also cache pages on your behalf e.g. AOL. If the problem persists you may have to contact your ISP to have the problem resolved.
