Trying to settle

We are dismayed at the inaccurate allegations made about Scottish Gas in The Herald (May 15 and 16). We have met Powersave regularly since February to try to resolve these issues. This week Powersave has cancelled a number of meetings and has failed to turn up at another. We are keen to facilitate payment of money owed to Powersave which we believe to be about £60,000 but cannot confirm this without further information. As soon as Powersave provides the requested proof of completion of works, and accurate invoices, as required by contract, we will be in a position to pay any outstanding monies.

Hello Stuart, You may think that is the case, but I believe you will find on closer examination of the facts (not the memo that crossed your desk, but hard facts), that the 56 day drop off from your accounts payable will lose any amount of invoices your bosses want to drag their feet over - you've been misled mate. I must try it for myself, it does seem to be working for your company, well at least in the administration of taxpayers monies, let's see, I have no money this month, so can't pay my bill to you, and I would rather buy a white elephant next month, so after 56 days I will just cancel my obligation to pay for the service and supply and not pay up, how long do you think I will be allowed to get away with it Stuart? Do British Gas shareholders benefit from money not being paid for sub-contracted services? Makes you wonder a lot of things along these lines, well at least I hope it does, the powers of modern day communications CAN be a wonderful tool. Oh what tangled webs we weave ................
