Boreham Wood Town 0
St Albans Rangers 5
Bushey Friendly League U12
Boreham Wood Town crashed to their first defeat of the season against St Albans Rangers.
They found Rangers' keeper in superb form and Town's defence could not cope with the pace of St Albans's forwards who cut through them on a regular basis.
Despite Town's territorial advantage they were 3-0 down at half-time.
The introduction of substitute Jim May in the second half stepped Town up a gear. They laid siege to the St Albans goal with Richard Evans, Danny Comber and Boreham Wood's man of the match Elvis Balic all going close.
But Town's fate was sealed when Rangers scored their fourth five minutes from time and a penalty in the final minute added to Town's misery.
TOWN U12: Paratusic, Hadley, Bird, Hall, Clews, Cocomazzi, Cleary, Comber, Evans, Sahbaz. Subs: Ratcliffe, May.
