Four Edgware teenagers are facing charges in connection with the death of a student on the A1 near Borehamwood last week.
Sandeep Jain, 24, from Hendon, who was travelling north between Apex Corner and Stirling Corner roundabouts, died after a collision with a stolen Vauxhall Calibra.
A post mortem last week revealed Mr Jain died as a result of multiple injuries after being thrown from the window of his car.
A 16-year-old male youth appeared before Hendon magistrates sitting at Brent Magistrates' Court on Thursday, charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving whilst disqualified and one count of burglary relating to the theft of the vehicle. He was remanded in custody.
Three other 16-year-olds, two boys and a girl, believed to have been passengers in the car, were charged with aggravated taking and driving away in connection with the incident. They will appear on bail at Barnet Youth Court on July 29.
