REGARDING the letter headed `Shabby Grass Cutting', it would appear that Enfield Council is intent on making hay - whether the sun shines or not.
The grassy areas surrounding the old people's flats in Chapel Street have now assumed a meadow-like appearance - the exception being a delightful garden area created and maintained by a valiant band of residents.
Even when the grass cutters eventually arrive, the resulting mess will be appalling.
