REPRESENTATIVES of the Greenwich Tourism Partnership promoted the town's attractions at the British Travel Fair at Birmingham's NEC last week. The GTP markets attractions like the Dome and the National Maritime Museum.

RETIREMENT homebuilder McCarthy and Stone has bought a site in Marvels Lane, Grove Park, for development. Regional managing director Mike French said: "I am delighted the demands and needs of the retired, living in or near Grove Park, will soon be satisfied."

ENGLISH Partnerships, the government's regeneration agency, has announced a £100,000 investment to turn a derelict pub into a youth employment and enterprise centre. The Old Windsor Castle, in Deptford High Street, should be converted by the end of the year.

SLIMMER Chris Vining, who lost five stones, has taken over the Kidbrooke Weight Management UK class. Mrs Vining takes the classes every Wednesday at the Welcome Inn, Well Hall Road, Kidbrooke.
