THIS years 'Grizzly' multi-terreain race held in Devon produced good results for Harlow runing club. Most notably, Pippa Jackson managed to finish in second place in a time of 1hr 24min. Tracey Alexandrou finished in sixth place in a time of 1hr 34min, an improvement on her ninth place in last year's event.

The ten-mile road race held in Hemel Hempstead saw Chris Perrin achieve a personal best of 1hr 20min and Perrin's performances during the season have guaranteed her the second ladies veteran prize, in division LL of the league.

Other veteran successes came to Martin McColgan who is took first place in division D, while Colin Moody was fourth overall in the league in division A.

In an attempt to attract more women to Harlow Running Club, a series of five km races have been organised to celebrate the Golden Jubilee year.

The series will be called the Ladies Marathon Chaser and will take place on May 30, April 14 and April 28.
