Jan Parker, a former pupil at The Fairway Community Primary, has returned to the Mill Hill school this term as headteacher.
Mrs Parker previously spent seven years at St Mary's CE Primary School in Dollis Park, Finchley, as deputy headteacher.
Taking up her new role at the school, in The Fairway, she said: "I used to be a pupil here a few years ago so it's nice to be coming back.
"It's good to be staying in the borough where I know people and to have the support of my colleagues."
