A Radlett school cricket team will be competing in the regional finals of a national tournament at the Shenley Cricket Centre later this moth.
After winning the South West Herts competition stage of the Lord's Taverners Primary Schools Cricket Tournament earlier this week, the squad from Fairfield Junior School progressed to the Herts finals on June 19.
Fairfield will be joined by Bushey Manor School at the county finals. Fairfield and Bushey Manor were joint winners of the South West Herts competition, defeating Holmshill School from Borehamwood, and Ashfield School from Bushey.
Bernie Soffair from Radlett Cricket Club, who organised the South West Herts competition, said: "Everyone enjoyed themselves and the standard of cricket improved as it went on."
Winners of the Herts finals will compete in the national finals later in the summer.
