Hertsmere borough councillors were due to discuss the implications of a Government report on Elstree Aerodrome at a meeting last night.
The Government has published, for consultation purposes, a report on the future of aviation in Britain, which recognises the importance of air travel for leisure and business.
The report suggests that air traffic will double by 2015, and the Government is planning to produce a White Paper on how air services could be developed over the next 30 years.
