Aldenham FC 1, Potten End 0, W Herts Division Two - Aldenham's promotion campaign survived a tight game against Potten on Saturday.
Both sides battled their way through the first half, with the keepers being called into action. Potten's custodian made a good save from Aldenham's Dave Denty. At the other end, Aldenham's keeper Richard Langford pulled off a superb double save.
The deadlock was finally broken when Denty, free on the right, picked out strike partner Pete Holmes, who made no mistake with a terrific header.
After the break there was a lack of chances for either side to score. However, Denty went close for Aldenham.
