Health is being discussed via the media quite often these days, and this is all to the good as without this, life can be pretty miserable.

I have reached 86 and I feel I have something to offer. Its all so simple, being based on two quotations, a healthy mind in a healthy body and moderation in all things.

So endeavour with the mind to become interested in things which will keep it active. For myself, I write poetry, short stories, sing every day and play a keyboard etc.

When it comes to the body, a little physical exercise. I find walking is the easiest and distance obviously varies with age. Added to this, do a few bending and stretching exercises every day as this helps to stop premature ageing, by keeping one supple.

One other pastime, which I feel is good, is meeting and passing friendly words and smiles with people of all ages on the street. This I suggest, costs no money and is so simple and certainly brings better health and lots of happiness. Why not try it, start today and you will have no regrets.

PS I dont drink alcohol or smoke.
