REVELLERS who find themselves knee-deep in a post Christmas glut of bottles, cans and paper are being urged to do their bit for the environment.
Bromley Council has reminded residents that non-foil wrapping paper, cards and envelopes can go into the house-to-house recycling scheme or street recycling banks.
Stamps can also be donated to charity organisations along with the aluminium foil used to pack mince pies and corks. These should be left at the collection point at Bromley Civic Centre. For details of your nearest recycling facilities visit signpost at www.bromley.gov.uk or call the environment promotions unit on 020 8313 4989.
