After last weeks exciting win over Oxted, Bromleys under-16 hockey boys team beat ahard-working Herne Bay side by 3-1.

Bromley started very well and Tim Warrington hit two screaming shots from the top of the circle, but one went over the bar and one was just wide. John Montgomery drew the defence out of position but his shot was well saved by the Herne Bay keeper. Then Matt Bevan sprinted down the right wing, crossed, and Iain Beable flicked neatly past the keeper.

Warrington then scored two superb goals to seal a fine victory.

The U18 girls found played at Canterbury on a new water-based astroturf surface, and it took a bit of getting used to and the team lost 7-1

But theres no stopping the U14 girls. This time they won their league match against Maidstone 7-1, exactly reversing the score their older club-mates had lost by at Canterbury, thanks to a a brace of goals from Kirsty Marshall, Susie Rowe and Charlotte Ridout, plus one from Jessica Riley.
