Croydon Harriers track and field athletics season is winding down after the completion of some sixty matches with the club's traditional series of sprint and mile handicaps being staged during the next three weeks.

The sprints for the “Jack Lisney Memorial Trophy”, run over 100m, 150m and 200m will be measured handicaps, while the mile races will be with sealed handicaps for the “Ashby Cup”.

The races will be held at the Croydon Arena from 7.30pm on the following dates: Tuesday September 25, Thursday October 4 and Tuesday October 9.

Guest competitors will be welcome to run in the mile races for a small fee, will receive times, but will not feature in the handicap results.

The club is already looking ahead to it's cross country and road programme, with it's joint promotion with Croydon Cultural Services, of the Croydon 10k Road Race and Fun Run on Sunday October 21 taking high priority.

The club's winter programme away from the track opens with the East Surrey League Cross Country relays on Wimbledon Common on Saturday October 6.

The Harriers will be hosting the East Surrey League Cross Country races in Lloyd Park on Saturday October 21 and on Saturday November 3 the Harriers in conjunction with Trinity School will be promoting their inter-schools cross country handicaps races. Croydon Harriers wil be host club for the Surrey Cross Country in Lloyd Park on Saturday January 5.
