Entitled Crime, the work is a "shocking and gripping" story of the corruption and abuse of the human soul - and the possibilities of redemption. The work explores whether, and how, victims of child abuse can help to heal themselves. It is this theme, Welsh has said, makes Crime "the hardest thing" he has ever written.
